Bamboo Chopping BoardThis is 30cm by 40cm long and 2cm thick with a very strong metal handle to one end.The cutting area is 27 cm as there is a slot along the last 3cm of one long edge.The slot can take a tablet or phone to hold them upright for you to follow instructions as you work.It can hold a narrow opened book upright but thicker books wont fit the 15mm deep slot.The surface is super smooth.To prevent it drying out, they advise oiling with mineral oil everynow and again.The surface is hard. You wont cut it while chopping your veg.I dont know how it would fair with razor shapr blades but my kitchen knife didnt mark it at all.I like the handle it makes it easy to carry one handed.There is a slot around 3 sides with a collection corner and pouring channel which is perfect for pouring off the juices from toamtoes etc.There are 4 large flat rubbery gripping pads on the back to stop it slipping on your table or kitchen worktops, they work really well on my pine table .You could hang it from a hook on the wall but it would need to be a strong ,thick , screwed in hook as this is a solid and heavy board , I dont think stick on hooks would cope.IT looks lovely so I shall find a place in my kitchen where it isnt hidden away when not in use.Seems like it will last a long time if looked after.Would be a fab gift for a keen cookAs usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.This Hultzzzy Chopping Board and Phone/Tablet Stand arrived sealed in cellophane inside a box. Also in the box was a leaflet on the care of the board.When I took it out of the box I liked the size which is 40.5cm x 30.5cm, which is big enough for my needs. It is made from Acacia Wood, which I know is strong as I have two pieces of furniture made from it. It has rubber pads on the bottom which stops the board slipping while you are cutting your food, which is a nice safety feature.The black metal handle is an added bonus, as I keep the board in a gap between two cupboards the handle makes it much easier to pull out.I also like the idea of the groove to catch juices etc, and the pour spout for pouring the juices away, I have never had a chopping board with this feature before.And last but not least, the Tablet and Phone Stand, what a brilliant idea, I don’t have a lot of space on my counter top to stand a phone and tablet, but this holds both my 10 inch tablet and phone, I can even fit one of my receipe books in it, so for me this is perfect, I can follow recipes while preparing food or watcing the news etc.I do like this Hultzzzy Chopping Board, it is well made and at a reasonable price.I hope you have found this review and photos helpful.Lockdown was no fun, but one thing that it did give me was a refound passion for cooking. As I was stuck indoors so much, at least I could eat well. My meals became healthier and tastier, the highlight of many days. Having a few decent chopping boards helps so that you don't mix types of ingredients. This 'Hultzzzy Large Acacia Wood Chopping Board' is ideal for fruit and veg.It is a great quality board in its own right, a nice weight to it and easy to wipe down the main surface. The bonus is that there is a slot at the back that is designed to fit a phone or iPad. What you ask! Many ingredients are online now, and it makes sense to have something that you can slot your device into and read from without propping it up on the breadbin. It is a great idea and works. If you do get some food in this slot, it is a little trickier to clean, but worth it for the convenience.Good size chopping board with a bit of weight to it.I've always been taught to have a wooden chopping board so it doesn't blunt you knives when chopping food.The board has some rubber patches on the back so it doesn't slide around your bench while been used.And it has a groove along the top for you to place a phone or tablet to stand it up and will make it easier to follow a recipe.The baord easily cleans after use I give it a wipe over with surface wipes. Even after use I have seen no damage on the board no scratch/chip marks off knives.It comes with a handle on one edge so you can hang it up for easy storage.
