This mount is perfect for Wrangler owners in that the mount fits fine. I had no problems attaching it. But. ..The mount is flimsy. The metal part that goes under the handle is so thin my phone did nothing but bounce around making it hard to read at times. The actual part that holds the phone is plastic and doesn't hold my phone tightly. It's not uncommon for it to fall out going down dirt roads or off roading. Now, 7 months later, I looked over to see my phone and mount missing. The plastic had broken off and my phone was rolling around on the floor.I have now used the metal part with a little reenforcement and attached an X-mount to it. Having used x-mounts on my motorcycles for years, I know that will hold up.was super happy with it at first until it broke, maybe it was the weight of my phone (iphone 13) but when i tried adjusting it, it broke the plastic ?It works but phone shakes while driving, can be distracting and annoying, if you turn it to the left so it contacts the radio knob it’s okay. Just don’t depress the knob. :-)Put a washer on the back of the phone mount. Other than that, it works great. This is the best phone mount I’ve found for my Jeep Wrangler JK 2016. Solid, no movement, great angle for viewing the mapping. Super strong installation. The mount that comes with this is hefty. It secures to the handle really well. But the only problem I came up with was the phone holder doesn’t look directly toward the driver. It rotates up but it doesn’t rotate down just because of the phone mount. It’s a good start but they skimmed out on the actual mountI originally got the Dynastar phone mount for my 17 JKU (Willys Wheeler Ed) but rarely used it as it mounted top to bottom and the springs were real tight. Got the RuggedRidge (mount only) on prime day. It mounts side to side, and it fit the mounting ball. Problem was it had rubber arm extensions which came off in the heat and the phone wouldn't stay on the small plastic arm without the rubber extensions.Saw this mount and liked the fact that it didn't block the windshield, so I gave it a try.Installed easily. (See pix) 5/5Looks great for a CB mount. (But I don't have a CB in my JKU - had one in my YJ but don't wheel with anyone who uses a CB, so I took it out too.)The phone mount is OK but the plastic arm isn't as sturdy feeling as I'd like and the mount itself (though side to side, like I prefer) is kind of wobbly near full extension so without seeing how it does over time, I'm giving it 4/5 for sturdiness.Overall I'd definitely recommend this mount if you're in the market for a multi-use mount. This thing should get a one star for the phone holding capabilities, but I now use it to hold my CB receiver.Ok first this design is great and it’s simple to install I like the low profile look and it’s discrete. It’s location is perfect to have the AC vent blow on my phone to keep it from over heating in the SoCal summer heat. BUT this thing shakes horribly and I’m not meaning a little. I use my iPhone as my GPS and it shakes so much it’s irritating to look at my screen. When I go on a dirt road, just a dirt road I’ve had my phone fall out often. Now I recently I stalled a CB and I removed the phone attachment and use it as a CB holder. Now this thing is a champ. It’s the prefect location and not blocking any of my dash controls. So it gets a 5 on that feature. You can buy this without the phone holder I totally recommend doing that to save yourself a few bucks. But don’t buy it as a phone holder.Had this literally for under a year and the ball snapped off the mount for the phone holder. Pretty much garbage now until i install a CB radio or find another way to secure a ball mount to the holder. Also to verify, all the previous reviews about this being flimsy is correct. the metal is too thin and isnt sturdy enough to hold any modern phone still since the design doesn't seem to take into consideration that phones have weight to them. For the money, this isnt worth it. I wouldnt recommend this product for any Jeepers out there. It requires some tools to install and takes some time, but does the job. I use it to hold my baofeng satellite radio while on the off roadExtremely shaky, even on the highway. Used it for google maps on my phone, had to use my hand to steady it. Kinda defeats the purpose of trying to go “hands free”When moving the seat up in a two-door jeep this gets in the way.
